Welcome back!

It was 20 years ago today that the comic Dr. Lobster was launched.

I’m Jeff Lofvers, one half of the “talent” that brought you this comic oh so many years ago. The other half is Michael Buonauro, some guy who couldn’t be bothered to help me with this relaunch (he um... he died). I know you didn't come here for our life stories, so say hello to:

Why Misremembered?

20 years is a long time. My memory is a little fuzzy. I'm sure most of the comics happened exactly as you see them, but maybe I have a few false memories. Maybe things that happened have been forgotten, things that never happened I remember vividly.

Who's to say what's wrong or right?

Only me (see above).

Dr. Lobster was a comic that ran from 2000-2003, then sort of again in 2004. There are lot of comics. Starting with scans of the original art, I will be recreating these tales in hi-res as we go.

I don’t have much of a choice. The original files are suuuuuuper tiny and compressed. They were made for computers of a different era. Due to hard drive crashes, format changes, and items never kept in the first place, I’ve lost a lot of the original source files over the years. Gathering everything together took more effort than I’m used to putting into a comic, but there's a lot to share.

I’ll be adding content and features throughout the coming weeks. Not because I am ill prepared for today--- no no. No. I wanted to build the suspense and force you into the habit of returning here. That’s the only reason.

I've posted three comics today. I haven't decided on a schedule for the rest, but you can expect at least one comic a week until I run out. If I pick only the hilarious ones, this process will last about three weeks. So lucky you! I’ll be posting the good, the bad, and the inside jokes.
